CBS, NBC Refuse to Air church’s Gay-Friendly Television Advertisement
According to a statement from the United Church of Christ, The CBS and NBC television networks are refusing to run a 30-second ad from the church because its all-inclusive welcome has been deemed “too controversial.”
The ad, states that — like Jesus — the United Church of Christ (UCC) seeks to welcome all people, regardless of ability,age, race, economic circumstance or sexual orientation. Read more…
Last call for Dog Show entry
Currently there are only a couple of dogs entered in each category for the family fun day with “Who Let the Dogs Out?” fund raiser for Stonewall Columbus and Capital Area Humane Society. CAHS has generously donated wonderful dog gift baskets to the winners in each category and an additional gift basket to the over all winner; “Best in Show”. Read more…
HRC March For Equality Update
Response has been overwhelming for the HRC Columbus March for Equality on Saturday, December 4th during the Short North Holiday Hop. Nearly 600 people signed up to wear a sweatshirt emblazoned with “Ohio-The Heart of Discrimination” and march down High Street to remind Ohioans that the fight over marriage equality is not over.
