On May 5th, 2004, hundreds of GLBT individuals will gather at the State House lawn in downtown Columbus to protest the enactment of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The Defense of Marriage Act was signed into law by Governor Taft on February 6, 2004; it takes effect on May 7, 2004.
