Comments   |   Events

Get a jump on Pride Month with Late Night Pride in May.

The month of June is packed full of events for the city’s annual Pride Celebration, so Gateway Film Center gets the party started a little earlier with weekend shows of LGBT cult favorites throughout May.

Late Night Pride offers selections by several icons of queer cinema, plus a special sneak preview of the Pride-friendly photography exhibition coming to OSU Arts Initiative in June.

May 7-9: Hedwig and the Angry Inch

May 14-16: Velvet Goldmine

May 21-23: The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

May 28-30: Pecker

Immediately following the screening on Sunday, May 30, Columbus educator and photographer Jonathan Lathram will discuss his June book release and OSU Arts Initiative exhibition – both entitled The “Ladies” of Ohio – Digital Divas – featuring large format photography of Columbus drag performers. All film selections screen Friday and Saturday at midnight, with an early bird Sunday matinee at 1:30 p.m. Tickets for Gateway shows at midnight or after are just $5.
